Nature Republic Snail Solution Line Review

Nature Republic Snail Solution

I have reviewed the toner and the emulsion from this line ages ago. Even then I loved them quite a bit. I remember being very happy with the results but particularly the emulsion. When I found a travel set of the entire line I did not hesitate one bit to snap it up!

Nature Republic Snail Solution box
Sorry for the banged up box

So now for a refreshed review of the two oldies and two newbies to boot.
By the way, I am purposefully not reading the old review since I want to write this with as fresh of an impression as I can. I am curious to see how much of it has changed or stayed the same through time.

Snail Solution 90 Skin Booster

Nature Republic Snail Solution booster

As usual I have to preface I am not a toner type person. I can appreciate them and I use them regularly (believe me I must have some magical toner portal because I don't buy these things, yet always have one here) but even if I enjoy them I usually feel pretty meh about them.

I have mentioned before that if I had to choose a favourite toner it would be Dear Enprani Moistfull Booskin (reviewed here), but now I have to add that the Snail Solution toner would be in second position.
It is not the best toner ever but I actually enjoyed using it and that means something!
It's a thicker texture that reminds me more of a serum or gel toner. I find it pleasant to apply though, since it wont just trickle through my fingers on the way to my face. Due to my skin being so dry I also appreciate a more substantial texture since it makes me believe it might be more potent/hydrating.
The entire line smells more or less the same. Like unintrusive fresh skincare.
The toner really does feel like it hydrates more than others and this is why it would be on my second spot. Not only is the texture pleasant but my face feels pretty good after applying it as well.

Snail Solution 70 Essence

Nature Republic Snail Solution essence

As much as I love the toner and the emulsion from this line, as meh I am about the essence. Not that the essence isn't good it is just not necessary. While using the entire line the essence really gave me nothing extra. When I finished it my skin was just as happy without it. The texture is more or less just like the emulsion. It is a transparent gel type texture but thicker than the toner. It feels nice enough but I simply find it an unnecessary product. It absorbs fast and leaves no trace behind. I can't really say anything bad about it but I wouldn't buy it either.

Snail Solution 80 Emulsion

Nature Republic Snail Solution emulsion

Man this is good stuff.
I don't know how it does it, but everytime I use it my face feels soo smooth!
Like really smooth.
By now I have used quite a few emulsions and not one of them came close to the effects this one has on my skin. As mentioned above it smells about the same as the toner. A scent that is difficult to describe but dissipates fast anyway. The texture is like a milky lotion. It absorbs fast into the skin and even though it feels fresh and a little watery, it has quite an average texture and feeling for a korean emulsion. The magic happens later. Because suddenly the skin turns into magic velvet softness and you didn't even expect it to happen!
It is hard to explain how lovely this stuff makes my skin feel so I guess you just have to try it out!
If you have dry or normal skin this can be used before a moisturiser if your skin is combo or oily this could even be used instead of a moisturizer. So it really is for any squinty (damn autocorrect)!

Snail Solution 70 Cream

Nature Republic Snail Solution cream

I quite like this cream!
It is gooey and stringy in an interesting way. I like weird textures in my skincare since I find it more entertaining than the regular old stuff. Like many Korean creams this one feels somewhat watery once applied to the skin but it is also quite smooth and creamy so it feels nice and soothing on dry skin. It is not the most lightweight moisturiser in the world, so I would say it is probably best suited for normal to dry skin types. My super dry skin was quite happy with it. Both using it alone with other products, or with the rest of the line.

I have to say I really enjoy these snail products. They are my favorite snail containing products I have used so far and I have used quite a bit. They have a high concentration of snailyness, if you are into that sort of thing, but if you dont care about it they are really good products even without it.

Do you have a favorite snail product? If so which one?

Most Outstanding and Utterly Superb Cosmetics of 2015

Most Outstanding and Utterly Superb Cosmetics of 2015

I honestly can not believe that 2015 is almost over already! This year really snuck up on me to be honest. Unlike 2014 there were lots of things and changes happening and when that is the case time usually passes by a lot faster than usual. I might have been quite busy this year but I still used a lot of fantastic cosmetics which I would like to share with you today. Even though I had specific product categories last year I won't do so this time again since I simply have not used enough new makeup to fill each section.

Alright then here I present to you my favourite cosmetics of the tumultuous year that was 2015:

Acids:
This year I have tried a lot of different products that contain Hydroxy acids but two of them stood out to me in a significant way.
Papa Recipes White Flower Clear Up 8% AHA Gel (review here) was not only effective and gentle at the same time, it is also the most hydrating acid I have used so far. When using this (especially on dry or dehydrated skin) the waiting time goes by in a breeze since you dont have to sit there with super tight and painful skin. The good news is that since it does absorb into nothingness it is also suited for oilier skinned people. And to top it off it is one of the cheapest acids around since one bottle may last you an entire year since it seems to be an endless pit filled with AHA goodness.
Favorite acids

If you are more of a BHA type person you might like to give Chica y Chicos Beta Salic 2.0 acid a try. As I have written before Johnny has issues with almost all BHAs since they irritate his skin. Not only is this gentle enough for him to use 4 times a week but it is strong enough to be effective. I say four times since his skin gets slightly irritated if he uses it every day or twice a day. A fact that makes me believe that the product is effective after all. Not being sensitive to BHAs I use this every day on porey areas and it works wonderfully to keep my skin in check. Both our pores have been looking pretty fresh recently and due to its cream format it isn't overly drying either. Not as hydrating as Papa Recipes AHA but not as drying as 80% other acids I have tried.
Gentle, effective and non drying Huzzah!

Essence:
Cosrx Galactomyces 95 Essence (review here) is a weird product. Seemingly not doing anything until you stop using it and realise that it was making your skin feel scrumptilicious! As written in my full review here, I really didn't know if it even did anything at all but it did indeed. It is more hydrating for me than Hada Labos Lotion and has a big dose of super ingredient Niacinamide to boot. This stuff may feel like nothing but after the plump and glowy face you will likely get from this, it might just become a staple product in your routine.

Cosrx Galactomyces 95 Essence

Serum:
An ode to C20/C21.5 (review here and mini review here). I love you and the magic you produce on my face is so shocking it makes me rethink all expectations I ever had for cosmetics. I know that not everyone gets their fine lines zapped away with this as I do. I still dont understand how this serum manages to get rid of my lines after a week of use. I am not complaining so I will simply accept it. Vitamin C is incredibly beneficial for a myriad of skin types and concerns and this happens to not only be effective but also very affordable. I have used this on and off for over a year now and everytime it is not in my routine I miss it. I hope it never gets discontinued!

Oils:
This was a very good year for facial oils and me. Usually I have a huge beef with them since they generally are so unpleasant yet a necessity for my super dry skin.
First off is Graymelins Natural 100% Facial Oil (review here) which might not be the richest in the world but it is definitely the dryest oil I have used. It definitely gives me the benefits of using a facial oil without the oiliness that entails. It feels more like a hybrid serum than a true oil which makes it more comfortable to use. I like to mix this into creams and lotions or use it just by itself when my skin is feeling tight.

Favorite Oils

The Saem is one of the brands of the year for me. Practically all of their items have been a hit for me and it all started with this precious Urban Eco Harakeke Seed oil (review here). This oil is richer than the Graymelins and even though it feels a little more like oil it is still very comfortable to use. It doesn't feel too filmy or oily and absorbs quite fast. I really like this stuff and hope to try other products from the same line soon.

Sunscreens:
I am generally a fan of Japanese sunscreens and Korean sunscreens leave me a little unimpressed. This year I had the chance to try a ton of Korean sunscreens though (I think around 15 or so!) and actually found one that I liked just as much as it's Japanese counterpart.
Etude Houses Sunprise Super Aqua (review here) is so comfortable to use since it leaves no white cast, absorbs fast and is non oily. It is quite watery like most japanese sunscreens yet more hydrating than most.
It is a great budget sunscreen that will likely always be in my stash in case I run out of Japanese ones.

Favorite Sunscreens
If SPF 35 isn't really your thing that Biore might be a better bet. A few months ago a lovely friend brought me some Biore Aqua Rich Watery Gel since my beloved Watery Mousse is discontinued and the gel comes in a bigger bottle as well. I have to say I am very happy with the Gel. I was a little worried since some people have mentioned that the Watery Essence is drying but I dont find the gel to be so at all. It is quite liquid but easy to use, absorbs and dries fast with its non greasy texture and leaves no white cast on my NC 30-35 skin tone. I have been a Biore fan since my first steps into Asian Beauty years ago and I can not see me getting lots of duds from this very reliable brand in the foreseeable future.

Masks:
I am not a fan of masks, neither sheet masks nor wash off masks. I do enjoy the occasional sleeping pack but haven't found an HG there yet.
The Cosrx Apple Zone Power Patch (mini review here) caught me completely by surprise too. It was sent to me by Cosrx as a little freebie and I am so happy about it since I would never buy it myself.
Before using it I was laughing at the thought of a tiny sheet mask for my cheeks and eye area only and I admit I still find it kind of silly. But this stuff is truly amazing. I don't know how they do it but after using it my skin looked so crazy smooth and even my small pores become smaller. They were practically invisible. One could see exactly which part was masked and which wasn't since the rest of my generally good skin looked not so good anymore compared to the bits that were Apple patched. The mask is also comfortable to use since it is a lovely hydrogel texture that is non wet and sticks really well to the face. The only thing I wish is that it was a full face mask since it works so well.
I really hope that they make a full Apple mask happen one day, I would probably buy them all!

Cosrx Apple Patch C21.5 Serum
Makeup:
After discovering lip tints I have more or less given up on lipsticks since tints are so much more convenient, long lasting and unnoticeable on the lips.
When I got the Saems Eco Soul Kiss Button Lips Matte lipstick (review here) though I loved it so much that I have been using it regularly ever since. The color (mixed and unmixed) is very pretty and super flattering, but the texture of this is one of the nicest matte textures I had the luck to have on my lips. It is also long lasting which makes this the full package. I hope to try more colors soon and possibly discover more favorite lipsticks in the future.

The Saem Button Lips Matte

This is the only non Asian Beauty product that made it onto the list. I still use a good amount of western products since they are easy to get but most of them don't wow me too much. The Blackbird Cosmetics (review here) eyeshadow set happens to be the nicest shadow I have used in a long time. I like the quality of it more than my Stila and Mac shadows and the colors are incredibly gorgeous. They are now also available pressed which makes them even more convenient. I still hope that Blackbird will come out with blushes since my collections is lacking in a blush that I love.

Cosrx Galactomyces 95 Whitening Power Essence review

Cosrx Galactomyces 95 Whitening Power Essence review

This is a strange product to me and its review will be a little odd as well. Not like that never happens around here!
As seemingly unconventional my reviewing style here might seem, my testing process is quite straight forward and methodical. If you imagined I would apply/test my skincare in a Jack Sparrowesque manner, I am here to disappoint. I might walk around like that occasionally but when it comes to skincare I am boringly laying in bed patting item after item onto my face (ok I spill and drop things all the time but that is not the point).

All day every day!
And thanks to my methodical product testing methods and me wanting to know how products work in different settings and combinations I actually found out what a wonderful product this is!

First off, I need to give some props to COSRX (no not because I am seemingly in love with all of their products) because they have actively taken a non racist step.
The original name of this essence is problematic to say the least. I understand that as a Korean company they are very likely not aware of what the phrase ” White Power” means in other parts of the world.
After HolySnails made them aware of what that phrase means in some places, they have actually taken steps to change the name of the essence. That is something that I find impressive and wonderful to be honest. Since as a Korean company Cosrx does not have to please their overseas clientèle if they choose so.
As someone who has been in contact with a representative of the brand and have witnessed how open they are to consumer opinions, I have to say I feel in quite good hands with them in general. After all how often can you voice your pleasures, dislikes and even ideas and wishes to a brand and be heard.

This now ends the little ode to Cosrx. And as I mentioned last time they don't pay me, or force me to write so lovingly about them. I genuinely like their stuff and have so since the first item of theirs I have tried back in the fall of 2014.

When I first started using this essence I was not wowed at all. I bought it because the ingredients looked promising, giving me the possibility to use this in variety of ways depending on my routine.
I wanted a product to give me a high amount of actives while being super hydrating at the same time. I have had good results with fermented products in the past. They generally are hydrating, soothing and give me lots of glow. Not only is the galactomyces ferment first in this essence ingredients list but due to its high amount of sodium hyaluronate it makes me able to skip a hydrating toner as well.
I would also like to mention it is a waterless, fillerless product which just makes me happy to see.
So I usually use this either as a toner, as an essence or as both and it does all its jobs well no matter which part of the routine I incorporate it in. I bet it would do nicely as a sheet masks too but currently have no sheet mask blanks to test that out.
So now you might be wondering when the wow factor came in since, I was probably aware of the ingredients before testing it. The wow factor actually came when I stopped using the essence completely.
As with all Cosrx products so far this bottle lasts forever and ever. I believe I got it in April and started using it around May. I have been using it on and off since and still have a quarter left. The good thing about it lasting so well is not just that you get a lot for what you pay for but that I am able to test the product really thoroughly.

Some products start being efficient slowly, some make a difference immediately. Some make such subtle differences in your skin condition that it is hard to notice what exactly they do.
So in this case I didn't notice exactly what this essence did to my skin until I stopped using it for about three weeks.
It is hard to describe but this stuff really helps hydrate and gives you a glow. It is subtle but definitely there. If you are using other products that give you glow such as C20/21.5 for example then there is no way you would realize that this essence is also giving you major glow. Since glow doesn't really stack itself to disco ball proportions once you achieved your own max glowiness there is not much more to strive for really.  And since the hydration powers of this magical potion are slow but steady you might not notice how much it is actually helping your skin be all kinds of plump and moist.

Max glow achieved!
So that fateful day that I stopped using this essence while still using another big hydrator (Hada Labo Lotion) and simply keeping my routine exactly as it was, suddenly my skin went from super to just alright. It took me a little time to notice that of course but was noticeable none the less. My skin was less glowy and less hydrated. One day my complexion was really nice to the point of getting compliments and suddenly it seemed that I had to add more moisturiser or use a sheet masks every other day.
After the not testing period was over I introduced the product again and my skin slowly went back to lovely.
I actually mentioned this strange phenomenon to Sam from Colorcrrush and she had the same experience.

So here we have this scentless, semi viscous liquid that seems so boring and innocent yet manages to transform skin into happy puppies. Who can say no to that?
It also feels refreshing and soothing when applied to the skin while sinking in super fast without leaving any trace behind. Something that makes it suitable for almost
any skin type of course.

Cosrx Galactomyces 95 Whitening Power Essence review

If you are looking for glow or hydration this is the stuff for you. If you are looking for a big dose of Galactomyces, Niacinamide or Hyaluronic acid this is also the stuff for you. If you always wanted something like the Hada Labo lotion yet more effective or with more anti aging ingredients this stuff is for you.

Graymelin Natural 100%Facial Oil

If you roam around on reddit or have talked to me in private, you might have heard me say that facial oils are THE thing one needs with dry skin. I also feel like anyone else can benefit from facial oils since they are wonderful creatures put on earth to make our skin feel lovely and comfortable.
Since I have very dry skin, oils are essential to me since I seem to produce close to zero natural sebum myself. Since most creams are created for people with at least a little bit of their own natural oils, using them expecting to fix my zero sebum skin is like wishful thinking.
So in comes facial oils that I can then use depending on the state of my skin.
The only issue is that I hate how oils feel on my face. Since I was little I had to use several oils and I hated every one of them. Olive, almond and coconut oil were the most common ones I had to use and if you ever put any of these on your face you might know they are not the most elegant and fast absorbing ingredients to ever be on your skin.
Thankfully facial oils are now very common and come mixed to target different skin types. Since there is such a large variety you can really get some that are thick and sit on your face forever and ever and some that sink in so fast you barely have time to register that it is an oil.

When I saw Graymelin for the first time I was so enchanted with the packaging. I am a sucker for vintage and as you can tell by the name that is exactly what they are going for.  While I was trying to find an adequate Graymelin product to get, I saw that they have a facial oil.
Bingo for me!
I am always on the look out for a new facial oil and this one just looked very promising. After a quick look at the ingredients, which indeed consist of 100% oils, I was sold.

First thing I noticed was the beautiful packaging.
Luckily it is also convenient packaging since I can not really do much with beautiful products that are a pain to use every day.

The oil is clear and smells like nothing. If you have a good sense of smell and really put your nose into it, you get a slight whiff of generic oil scent. It is indeed thin in consistency and relatively liquid.
The thin consistency lets it penetrate very fast. It kind of absorbs while spreading it onto your face. The good thing about this oil is that you can't feel it at all yet it is clearly there. If I touch my face I can feel it but not as an oil film just the way my skin feels when I add oil and it has already absorbed. It also doesn't give me a shiny face but a healthy glow. Even though it sinks in so fast with its thin consistency, it does all I want from a facial oil. It might not act like most oils but my skin can certainly tell that it does some good stuff to it. I can put it on my face by itself since it is so non oily or mix it into my moisturiser.  I have been using this stuff everyday for a month and a half and I have used less than a quarter bottle.

On the right the oil is freshly applied with absorption time before the photo was taken

I really like this stuff and really have no complaints.
It is now in my top two best oils I have used, and likely not to be kicked of the spot any time soon. The success with this product has made me super curious about other Graymelin products as well and I hope I get the chance to try some out since they look super promising.

The Saem Urban Eco Harakeke Seed Oil review

With my super dry skin, facial oils are a must!
95% of moisturisers (besides Ladykin's Vanpir cream) I have tried, don't have sufficient oils in them to be able to soothe my skin and if they do they are too thick and heavy to feel comfortable.
So I have to add oils separately to a lighter and more hydrating cream.
The only problem is that I hate the feeling of oils on my face!
I have tried a lot of 100% pure oils such as almond and coconut but they are too greasy and never seem to sink in. I have tried mixed oils, both organic and non organic, they are a little comfier than pure oils but still bothersome. Mixing the oils into my creams helps but is still greasy on my face.
Thankfully I have lovely friends with whom I have sample exchanges and thanks to one of those friends I got to try the Saems Harakeke seed oil.
I love this stuff!

It is the driest oil I have ever felt ( much nicer than Nuxe's!) yet is absolutely effective in adding sufficient oils to my skin. It is so non oily that Johnny Clyde, who has an even worse aversion to facial oils than me, didn't even notice I added oil to his lotion!
It is good enough to add on its own to the face as well.
It is quite delightful!

It is not as thick as many oils and applies quite dry.
You can feel it on your face but it sinks in fast.
It is wonderfully moisturising and gives you a glow without being overly greasy.
I really like it!
It is quite liquid, yet thicker than water, and yellowish in color.
I think it smells like green skincare and Johnny says it smells like leaves.
Either way the scent isn't strong and dissipates fast.

When I ran out of it the first time I spent almost an entire year experimenting with other oils when I finally got it on sale. I am so happy with it I am almost scared to experiment with others.
This is definitely the nicest oil I have tried but it is not my HG yet since I believe there is something even better out there. So I will continue to experiment but I am not certain that I will actually find anything nicer.
Until then this will be my favorite.

The Saem Eco Soul Kiss Button Lips Matte in #6 Bitter Chocolate review

I have been looking for a brown lipstick for a long time.
I have an old one from Chanel but the color doesn’t suit me too well but since I know brown lipstick is very flattering on me I still wanted to look for one that looks decent.
When I ventured into my local drug and department stores I couldn’t find anything that was dark enough. Due to my pigmented lips, most brown shades available here don’t show up on me ( If you follow me on Instagram you might have seen my fruitless swatch bonanza).

So I thought I might try to find an Asian lipstick that would fit my criteria.
It was not easy to be honest.
Brown is not really a shade that is popular there right now and usually not part of the color selections offered. I did find a few but choosing was hard.
After all there, was no reviews and few swatches (I think it was a total of two swatches actually) and going after the promo pics is not recommended.

Who are they trying to fool? Neither the finish nor the colors are anything like in this picture
I have had many disappointments following the advertisements from brands since it is reallynotaccurate. Especially since the models used, usually have very light lips and I can’t compare those results to mine. Oh yeah and there is also photoshop!
I finally decided on The Saems Button Kiss lipstick.
They have a satin and a matte line and both offer one brown looking shade. With the enticing names of Bitter Chocolate and Bitter Coffee.
Very brown sounding names too.
I did indeed find swatches for the satin line and determined that Bitter Coffee would probably be too red. I am a matte kind of girl anyway so matte it was.

I have to say I was disappointed when I received it.
Besides the absolutely delicious smell the shade was completely different than expected.
It is kind of a brick red, like muddy but still red.
I suppose it can be called brownish but to me it is distinctively redder than brown.
I applied it and the feeling on my lips was very comfortable.

1 Layer on the left and 3 on the right. Color is a little less red than in the photo
I usually don’t use lipsticks anymore since I hate how they feel on my lips but this is quite pleasant. The wear time is great as well so I really didn't want to give up on this lipstick.
So instead I mixed it with a brown lipliner. And the results are amazing!
I really really love the shade that came out.
Mother loved it, even though she isn’t a fan of too dark lips and Johnnys eyes goggle out every time I wear it. He gets all shy and smiley too. That makes me believe that it is indeed very flattering.
I call that a success!
In the upper photo you can see how the lipstick changes the lipliners color into a softer redder shade

So back to the lipstick.
As I mentioned before it smells amazing.
Like truly!
It is one of the nicest things I have ever smelled!
Unfortunately it is very faint (Johnny can't smell it at all) and doesn't linger on the lips.

The stain is the color you get when wiping the lipstick off or when it fades by itself
As far as the wear time goes it lasts 4-5 hours like new depending on what you do.
It does fade well, to a reddish brown natural looking lip.
It does transfer but not much since it is matte and relatively dry.
I have worn it out to dinners a few times. The stain it leaves behind on a glass is almost unperceivable. It does fade when you eat greasy food but not much if you take care.
Each dinner the lipstick was still intact but in different degrees depending on the food I ate.
I even had ribs with it and the lipstick still looked decent afterwards.
It survives some kissing but will color off on the other person. I say this is definitely one of the longest lasting and sturdiest lipsticks I own.

The color is really hard to photograph unfortunately. This is the most accurate representation though
One can wear it sheer or layer it but if you add one layer from the bullet it will be 85% opaque.
Two layers make it darker but not much.
I really really like this product!
I haven't worn lipstick much in years but I have been grabbing this one a lot.
I might purchase other colors from this line too since it feels and looks so great.
Which one? That would be the real question!

Recent Cosmetic favorites and a little bit about me

I have been in Spain for a little while visiting Mother and enjoying some off time. I have been busier than expected and quickly ran out of posts I created so you wouldn’t feel completely abandoned.
I hope you don’t either way!
When I am not running around doing family stuff or trying to enjoy the rather strange weather, I am in bed trying not to succumb to episodes of allergy. For some mysterious reason I am always very allergic when I am here. Not sure if its the town or the apartment I am allergic to, either way it hits me hard every time. Even when I take allergy pills I start feeling like I have a bad cold, that for some reason gets worse the longer I am here. Well with a painy head that feels like stuffed with cotton and a red nose I wallow in my bed trying to not nap the day away.
The good news is that I do indeed get some down time in between the episodes which made me able to write this post and occasionally have tiny adventures.
Tomorrow will possibly be lots of fun but since it is a surprise for Johnny Clyde I can’t say anything yet.

I was actually going to write about my favorite things I have been using on my trip.
If my brain lets me, I will also write about cosmetics I bring and how I organize myself to have enough for several people on a longer trip.
I have clearly wandered off the path a little but I think I can see it through the bushes now.

The lovely Samplehime has created a group with which you can order from Testerkorea with the Business account. Doing so can give you some discounts and possibly more samples than usual.
A few months back I did indeed order through her and she was so sweet as to throw in some extra goodies for me. One of them was an Etude House travel set from the Like 20 line. I have been eyeing that line since it came out and was incredibly excited to travel and be able to use it.

Let me tell you I really like that cream!
It is sadly almost finished but lasted me two and a half weeks which is absolutely decent for the size.
I will make a more detailed review of the whole line but the cream is definitely one of my recent favorites. It is rich enough for my dry skin and feels really nice when applied.
I would possibly even buy the full size if I didn't have so much stuff already!

Used Blackbirdcosmetics on eyes, cheeks and lip
The next favorite is actually non Asian but from an indie brand named Blackbird Cosmetics.
I forgot how I even found them in the first place but on a whim I ordered their eye shadow sample set.
It arrived rather fast from the US and I have been obsessed with it ever since I tried it out.
The colors are really beautiful and the quality is great. The sample packets are super convenient for travel which finally enabled me to take more than just one or two eye shadows with me.
I will probably buy the other sample set too and really want to try their contouring powders and blushes.

When I got the Saems lipstick I was a little disappointed. The color was a brick red instead of the chocolate brown that was promised. It smells so amazing and the lip feeling is so great that I wanted to give it another try. I simply mixed it with brown liner and the resulting color is absolutely stunning! Even mother approves even though she isn’t a fan of dark lips.
You might have seen already if you follow me on Instagram, that I have worn it several times when going out to dinner, and the wear time has impressed me so far as well.
I hope they bring out more colors since I would love to get more shades from this line.

Only have crappy quality phone pics of it right now
The next two products are from Cosrx. I don’t know how they do it but they keep bringing out products that I love.
I was lucky to be sent a goodie package by them that included a cute looking cheek patch.
Since Mother wanted to do a beauty day I whipped them out thinking that I would not like them much and this way at least I would not have as many.
What a fool I was!
If you are wondering why I expected not to like them the reasons are these:
I don’t really like sheet masks.
The lip and eye masks I have tried have done nothing so far.
Why would I want a cheek patch?
It just seems gimmicky to me.
So I cleansed my face, put on the patch listlessly, and immediately gasped because it felt so nice on my face. It was cooling but not cold (it was cold enough last week!) and the consistency was really lovely. I have tried gel patches before but this one is especially nice. It was moist in a refreshing way not in the soaky gross way that sheet masks usually are. And after leaving it on for a really long time, since it felt so nice, I almost didn’t believe my eyes when I took it off.
There was a visible difference!
My cheeks looked freaking perfect!
It actually somehow made my pores less visible so much that the pores on my nose looked huge in comparison! The skin on my cheeks also looked really smooth and glowy that there was a noticeable difference to where the patch was not applied. It had the same effect on Mothers skin and we immediately checked if Cosrx had the same product but for the entire face. Unfortunately they don't but if they had it, I would buy them all!
I can’t wait to test them again and photograph everything for you to see.

I received the C21.5 and didn’t expect much news from it either. I have to say that the first test didn’t bode well since I was told this version isn’t sticky at all but unfortunately it still is. That is not an issue to me since I can’t feel it but Mother was disappointed. What I did not expect is that it would improve my complexion so much and so fast. After exactly 5 days of usage Johnny Clyde suddenly tells me that my skin looks great. I was so shocked at this I ran to the mirror to see if that was true. Johnny Clyde is not the kind of person to notice peoples skin so that observation was startling to me. But he was right my skin did indeed look great. I asked Mother about it and she confirmed. It had been looking great since day 4. She even had me make some forehead wrinkle test to see if I was cheating, but no. This serum diminished my forehead wrinkles into oblivion, got rid of left over spots and made my skin so glowy and smooth I looked like I was wearing foundation and all within 5 days. I don’t know how but Osts products seem to be made out of Unicorn blood and angel tears!
Just two weeks ago I found out that OST was part of Cosrx and I couldn’t help but wonder if they make any products that aren't great. Now I have to try Ciracle I suppose, since it is also one of their brands. Well, consider me a fan!

Full reviews of all the products will be coming soon of course.

Chosungah Wonder Milk review

http://en.chosungah22.com/product/Wonder-Milk/340/?cate_no=12&display_group=1

Chosungah Wonder Milk (140ml)
Milky texture, powdery scent, rich moisturising effect of Wonder Milk is loved by many Celebrities.
With a drop of Wonder Milk, the most optimal condition of skin is born.

Every time I order this, the box gets dented
I found out about Chosungah quite a long time ago, I was intrigued about the brand and attracted to the packaging. Since it is relatively hard to find and the prices are steep, it took me a while to finally take the plunge and purchase some of their products. I found some on sale on Koreadepart and ordering these items turned into a horrendous nightmare for me.
The good news is that this particular product turned out to be amazing.
Wonder Milk indeed!
I had no idea what to expect when I ordered it and honestly I am still a little unsure what this product is supposed to be.

The plastic is thick and milky
The packaging is super pretty , like most Chosungah products. Even though the packaging is made out of plastic, you can tell that it is good quality with attention to detail.
Like the hole that dispenses the product.
I don’t understand how so many companies get this wrong by having too small or too large holes that make usage a mess or difficult.
Thankfully Wonder Milks bottle makes it easy for you to use as much as you like easily.

Sealed top, the little boop is the size of the hole
I cant take a better picture right now but the hole is sort of visible
The texture is extremely liquid with a creamy feel to it. I guess it is quite similar to whole milk.
When applied, it is refreshing in a watery way, it sinks fast into your skin and leaves it moist afterwards.
Its scent is very noticeable.
I am not sure what it smells like, there is something powdery there but it isn’t unpleasant.
The smell disappears very fast so it doesn’t bother me when used.
Even though the scent is quite strong it isn’t as bad as the Face Shop Mango Seed cream for example.

Freshly applied to the left and slightly rubbed in to the right
The reason I like this product so much is that it is ultra moisturising. I am not sure how this milky liquid does this. You can feel that there is a certain amount of oil in the product, which manifests by its creaminess, but it is so lightweight that the sheer amount of moisture is still shocking.
I feel like Chosungah got the amount of hydration (water) and moisture (oil) perfectly right while still making it very lightweight which in turn makes this a moisture bomb.
This product is so good that I can actually use this as my last step of the routine if I choose.
Just remember my skin is very very dry, so dry that 95% of creams for dry skin still leave my skin incredibly itchy and dry.
This stuff smooths my scaly skin into baby butt territory, while soothing my itchiness and taking away the need of a cream. I feel like this is the perfect product for dry skinned peeps who can’t moisturise their skin properly, no matter how many products they add. For oily and combo skinned folks this is great if you don’t want to use too many products or if you simply hate creams.

This can be used as a toner, essence or emulsion. It can also be used to replace all three. With this, less is more, and unless you plan to use it as a mask (which it also does well) one or two drops are plenty for an entire face.
I feel like from all those products that claim to be multi tasking this is one of the very few that actually holds that promise.
