You know how sometimes when you start watching a film and the first 5 minutes are so good you get all giddy and excited and cant wait to see the rest?
Well this is such a movie!
Jean-Pierre Jeunet you did it again, but what was there to expect after films such as Amélie and The City of lost children?
This film is so magical and wonderful, it is also sad and funny at the same time.
It definitely feels like a pretty classic child on an adventure film, not like the ones they do now, but the ones form the 80s and 90s.
I do love that it makes other odd Children feel a little less alone in their oddness when watching this film. At least that is what I imagined what I would feel if I would have watched this as a child.
This film is gorgeous, fresh and super entertaining and I still can not believe that not everyone is raving about it right now?
So go and watch it, you won’t regret it, promise :)
